This is draft 5 of that book. I expired the free link, I was just looking for feedback then and gave away like 15 copies of the 100 I allotted. I got some good technical feedback from a Story Grid colleague and that’s the major structural change I’m implementing (I buried the beginning in the grief/supernatural attack thread and needed to anchor it in the academic/mundane. Now Mattie has something to want from the beginning other than, “not be sad on sad day”. It also anchors the school refusal in something tangible. And it gives me a prod that ties the whole thing all the way to the end. I think this really is the final draft short of editing and publishing.
